Hi! I'm Mattie. My pronouns are they/them/theirs.

I've been a software engineer for decades. I work at Atomic Object developing, engineering, architecting, and consulting. I've created a number of software projects and continue to do so.

I work on lots of different kinds of software and systems, but usually land on the backend. I've long been interested in computer networking. While I grew up on several different kinds of personal computers and operating systems, these days I primarily use macOS and OpenBSD.

I play lots of Nintendo games. I love spinning records on my turntable (or the other one); particularly progressive rock. I adore The Muppets—and Jim Henson in general. (Have you watched my favorite show?)

I love writing, not just for computers, but for humans. I don't know that I'm really all that good at it, but I try. Mostly because I love it.

Sometimes I think I should have been a theater kid when I was growing up. I probably would have had a lot of fun.
